Sharing the Same Struggle with One Mic

Everyone who wants IN into the music biz share the same struggle. And its a long treacherous path of demo's, upsets, disses, pisses, rejections, and amends. The best way one can claim restitution and continue, is by trying harder, getting better and repeating the process, trying best to keep the dream intact.

The independent scene in Baguio breathes such sympathetic stories, as all industries do, moreover there are divisions. IndieBC wishes to bridge that divide and bring all genres together, as we all suffer the same consequences for wanting to be in music biz.

We came across old friends, and heard that they too are pushing the same efforts, and also, like the rest of us, just want to be heard. IndieBC is shorthanded and isn't equipped to write deeply into the HipHop genre, but instead we write about them as musicians.

One mic came into conception a few years back, a few friends wanting to put their thoughts in a format called Rap. Open minded folks should check them out, they too are Baguio Locals and are currently working to put their music out.

One track from their on going recordings is below.

One mic, put genre aside, shares the same struggle and it would be great to see them share the stage with the most. So book 'em, contact them, leave them a message, support their peers, support Baguio HipHop.

We're a long way from hiphop vs. rock, that era is kaput! the industry won't even permit that, we ain't fighting for a market, cause the market now is so limited and base it doesn't permit us to play anything different or new, anything that isn't Pop.

In one song by Fiona Apple she sings,

"Please please please
No more melodies
They lack impact, they're petty
They've been made up already
Please please please
No more maladies
I'm so tired of crying
You'd think I was a siren
But me and everybody's on the sad same team and
You can hear our sad brain screaming

Give us something familiar
Something similar
To what we know already
That will keep us steady
Steady, steady, steady, steady
Steady going nowhere"

There's a diverse world of independent musicians. So let's stop asking for the same SH1t. :)
Peace!
